At Kazi Mingi Foundation (KMF), we design programs that respond directly to the growing challenge of unemployment and the decline of decent work in our communities. Our training programs equip women abd youth with practical, market-relevant skills that led to self-employment, income generation, and long-term economic independence.
Below is our current program menu with proposed funding requirements:
Tailoring & Fashion Design Training
Proposed Cost: USD 6,500
Beneficiaries: 25 women
Duration: 6 months
This program equips women with practical tailoring and fashion design skills, enabling them to start small tailoring businesses or secure employment in the garment sector. The cost will cover training materials, fabric, sewing machines, trainer fees, and certification.
Hairdressing & Beauty Therapy Training
Proposed Cost: USD 5,800
Beneficiaries: 25 women
Duration: 6 months
Participants receive hands-on training in hairdressing and beauty therapy, preparing them for self-employment or work in salons. This cost will cover salons tools, cosmetics, practical kits, trainer fees, and certification.
Computer & Digital Skills Training
Proposed Cost: 2,700
Beneficiaries: 8 trainees
Duration: 4 months
This program builds essential computer and digital skills, improving employability and access to online income opportunities. This cost covers computer access, software, internet, trainer fees and digital skills certification.
Entrepreneurship & Small Business Skills Training
Proposed Cost: USD 6,500
Beneficiaries: 58 women and youth
Duration: 3 months
Participants gain practical business skills, financial literacy, and mentorship to start or grow sustainable small business. This cost covers business training, mentorship, financial literacy sessions, training materials, and startup readiness support.
